General Farm Worker – Dairy Farm
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Farm Worker to join our team on an autumn block-calving dairy farm.
This is a varied, hands-on role, with duties changing throughout the year depending on the season and the needs of the farm.
Main duties include:
- General livestock care and husbandry
- Milking and dairy-related duties
- Fencing and fieldwork
- Tractor work
- General farm maintenance and repairs
- Keeping the farm tidy, organised and well maintained
The ideal candidate:
- Reliable, practical and willing to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in their work and keeping things tidy
- Previous farming experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Hours and pay:
The role involves varied working hours, with increased seasonal demands during calving and silage making. Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours during these busy periods are important.
Weekend work is required on a rota alongside the rest of the team, with a minimum of 3 weekend days per month.
Pay will be proportionate to experience and ability.
