Tractor Driver and General Farm Assistant
Full time Tractor and General Farm Asssitant required. We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills to join our team. Full time hours available. Monday – Friday 40hour week. Additional weekend work when required.
Must have experience of driving tractors, telehandlers & have a knowledge of livestock as will be assisting with duties such as lambing. Preferably to have experience working on a Farm driving Tractors with trailer for farm duties and able to drive on a public highway to for general farm duties.
The post holder will also work within our green waste facility sorting & processing green waste from Local authorities and local landscapers. Able to deliver compost to cutomers in a tractor and trailer and transport on highway to ther farm locations. The post holder must also be able to carry out basic maintenance and pre work checks of work equipment.

Description: Tractor Driver and General Farm Worker
Job Purpose: To drive tractors on the farm and on the highway, to drive heavy plant moving Compost and to help with general farm duties.
Job duties:
Operate farm equipment as directed.
Carry out routine checks on equipment and carry out maintenance.
Check and assist in the looking after of livestock.
Process green waste as instructed
Work out of hours when required
Skills and qualifications:
Have a full Driving Licence.
Experience driving tractors on public highways.
Competent at reversing tractors and trailers.
Have some experience with farm work and handling heavy plan machinery.
Have some experience in animal husbandry.
Good time keeping.
Ability to plan own work load.
Able to maintain accurate records when required.
Good team worker, have good interpersonal skills with customers and staff and able to work independently.
Able to ensure high quality attention to detail when processing green waste.
Wage
Wage will depend on Experience.
