Product Specialist – Agricultural Machinery - Field Based – Wales & West of England - £44,000 + Company Vehicle
The Job:
Are you an experienced agricultural engineer or machinery specialist looking to take the next step in your career?
We are working with a well established international manufacturer of agricultural machinery that is looking to appoint a Product Specialist to support its growing UK dealer network across Wales and the West of England.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining their technical knowledge with customer interaction, training and problem-solving. Rather than being based in a workshop, you will spend your time working with dealers and machinery users across your territory, helping them get the best possible performance from their equipment. You will become a trusted technical resource for the dealer network, developing strong relationships and providing practical solutions to a wide range of machinery-related queries.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as the technical link between the manufacturer, dealers and end users
- Supporting dealers with machinery faults, diagnostics and technical queries
- Working with factory-based technical teams to identify and resolve product issues
- Delivering training sessions to dealer teams and machinery operators
- Carrying out machinery demonstrations and helping customers understand the best use of the equipment
- Supporting dealers with warranty queries and claims
- Building strong, long-term relationships across Wales and the West of England
- Keeping up to date with new products, technology and developments within the agricultural machinery sector
The Candidate:
- Practical experience with agricultural machinery or agricultural engineering
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and electronic systems and fault finding
- Strong mechanical and technical ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The confidence to deliver training and explain technical information to a range of audiences
- A customer focused and solutions-driven approach
- The ability to organise your own workload and work independently
- A full UK driving licence
A formal agricultural engineering qualification would be advantageous, although relevant practical experience will also be considered.
The Package:
- Salary £44,000 DOE
- Company vehicle
- Field-based position covering Wales and the West of England
- Technical training and ongoing development
- Opportunity to work with a globally recognised agricultural machinery manufacturer
- Long-term career progression within the business
- The chance to move away from a traditional workshop role and develop a career in technical product support
